INITIAL RESPONSE

When you see fire, smoke or something burning:

  • R – Remove individuals from danger and alert others
  • A – Call 911 and then Building Security (312) 751-3695
  • A – Call 911 and then Building Security (312) 751-3695
  • C – Close all doors
  • E – Evacuate the area if in immediate danger

& FOLLOW UP

To extinguish a small fire, locate the fire extinguisher (located in stairwells and at each corner of the floor only if this can be done without endangering your safety):

  • P - Pull the pin
  • A - Aim the nozzle at base of fire
  • S - Squeeze the handles together
  • S - Sweep from side to side
