INITIAL RESPONSE

When you witness an infant or child being removed from the area by a stranger or when an infant or child is missing from the Medical Center:

  • Press the EMERG soft key or call 911 and call Northwest Community Hospital Security (847) 618-7596 and your immediate manager
  • Press the EMERG soft key or call 911 and call Northwest Community Hospital Security (847) 618-7596 and your immediate manager
  • Close off the area
  • Do not allow anyone into the area/ room unless directed by Security/Police

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

  • Security/Police conducts search of interior/exterior of facility
  • Security assists Police
  • Complete Safety Event Report
  • Call and update Lurie Hospital Security (312) 227-7777
