INITIAL RESPONSE

When you experience a loss of power, water, and/or ventilation:

  • Generator will come on and staff complete current patient
  • For loss of power plug all essential equipment into red outlets.
  • Contact local Building Engineering give location and confirm loss of power
  • If local Building Engineer not on site call Lurie Facility Operations Control room 74098
  • If local Building Engineer not on site call Lurie Facility Operations Control room (312) 227-4098
  • Contact immediate manager and Administrator
  • Building Engineer will contact facility services
  • Notify the Administrative Coordinator (AC) on call at 74112.
  • Notify the Administrative Coordinator (AC) on call at 312-227-4112 (7-4112).

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

When you experience a loss of power, water, and/or ventilation:

  • Remain calm
  • Alert others in the area
  • Listen for directions from Northbrook Fire Department and/or Designee
  • Refer to the above section titled Evacuation
