INITIAL RESPONSE

When you see fire, smoke or something burning:

  • R - Remove individuals from danger
  • A - Activate the fire pull station (fire pull station located at the door to all stairwells)/Press the EMERG soft key or call 911 & then call Security (312) 227-7777
  • A - Activate the fire pull station (fire pull station located at the door to all stairwells)/Press the EMERG soft key or call 911 & then call Security 77777
  • C - Close all doors
  • E - Evacuate the area

If you hear the fire alarm, leave the building

If you smell smoke call 911 contact management office (312) 343-5827

If you smell smoke call 911 and contact management office (312) 343-5827 or (708) 251-0025

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

To extinguish a small fire, locate the ABC fire extinguisher (found in each stairwell, in the hallways and in the hallways on each floor):

  • P - Pull the pin
  • A - Aim the nozzle at base of fire
  • S - Squeeze the handles together
  • S - Sweep from side to side

ABC fire extinguisher is used for all types of fires
