INITIAL RESPONSE

When you experience immediate loss of oxygen, medical air system failure, and/or medical vacuum system failure:

Hand ventilate patients until portable oxygen tanks are available

Use portable medical air tank or portable vacuum pump until system is back to normal

Complete procedures as soon as possible and cancel future surgeries until system is restored

When you experience immediate loss of oxygen, medical air system failure, and/or medical vacuum system failure:

• Contact Building Engineer and give location
• Immediate manager will contact Administrator Coordinator (312) 227-4112 to inform them of the situation
