INITIAL RESPONSE

When relocation or evacuation is necessary the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department will make an announcement and provide direction.

• Remain calm
• Alert others in the area of need to relocate or evacuate
• Listen for instructions
• Move out of the immediate area, behind fire doors to safe area of refuge (exit the back door and remain in holding area alongside the ramp)
• Account for all residents, parents, visitors, and staff

& FOLLOW UP

• Suggested evacuation priority: ambulatory, assisted, then dependent.
• Clinical Staff take all pertinent resident care items when relocating or evacuating
• Keep to the right when relocating or evacuating
• Wait for instructions from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department before re-entry.
• Call your manager
