INITIAL RESPONSE

When you see fire, smoke or something burning:

  • R – Remove individuals from danger
  • A – Activate the fire pull station/Call 911
  • A – Activate the fire pull station/Call 911
  • C – Close all doors
  • E – Evacuate the area as directed

Protect in place. Be ready to evacuate. Staff remains in the rooms with children until advised otherwise.

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

To extinguish a small fire, locate the ABC fire extinguisher:

  • P - Pull the pin
  • A - Aim the nozzle at base of fire
  • S - Squeeze the handles together
  • S - Sweep from side to side

ABC fire extinguisher is used for all types of fires
