INITIAL RESPONSE

When you experience a loss of power, water, and/or ventilation:

• OR building generator will come on and staff complete current cases.
• For loss of power plug all essential equipment into red outlets.
• Contact local Building Engineering give location and confirm loss of power
• If local Building Engineer not on site call Lurie Facility Operations Control room 74098
• If local Building Engineer not on site call Lurie Facility Operations Control room (312) 227-4098
• Contact immediate manager and Administrator
• Building Engineer will contact facility services
• Notify the Administrative Coordinator (AC) on call at 74112.
• Notify the Administrative Coordinator (AC) on call at 312-227-4112 (7-4112).

& FOLLOW UP

• Report loss of power to ComEd at 800-334-7661 and use the above address.
• Obtain updates from ComEd as to the length of the outage.
• Facility Services will address the situation and determine appropriate next steps
• Call and update Lurie Hospital Security (312) 227-7777
