When an elevator alarm sounds, is not responding, or is erratic:

Remain calm
Do not use the elevator

& FOLLOW UP

When trapped on an elevator:

Stay in the elevator
Use the alarm button inside the elevator to contactBuilding Security
Do not climb to the floor above
Do not jump to the floor below
Do not try to pry the elevator doors open
Listen for directions and wait for help to arrive
Call Security after the incident 7-7777; 312-227-7777
