INITIAL RESPONSE

When an injury or illness is caused by work and occurs while performing work:

• Perform First-aid to stop bleeding, cleanse an area or cover a wound
• Report to manager and seek care
• Emergency conditions: call 911
• Emergency conditions: call 911
• Non-emergency conditions: go to NM Occupational Healthaffiliate assigned to the work location (refer to Work RelatedInjury or Illness Policy for location)

• Follow the “Work Related Injury or Illness Policy” found on PolicyTech
• Complete Safety Event Report
