INITIAL RESPONSE

When severe weather cause problems (i.e., tornado, high winds, damaging hail, lightning strike):

  • Remain calm
  • Alert staff of weather conditions
  • Listen for weather condition updates
  • Notify personnel to remain on duty until released by your immediate manager

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

  • In high wind situations move immediately to a safe place such as interior hallways away from windows
    • Stay away from perimeter of building and exterior glass/windows
    • Close blinds if time permits
  • When weather conditions improve
    • Return to normal operations
    • Call your manager
    • Call Almost Home Kids Operations Director
