INITIAL RESPONSE

When a person requires emergent medical assistance:

• Call 911
• Call 911
• Give the location, type of injury and number of people injured
• CPR certified employee begins CPR if needed
• Retrieve AED
• Notify Ronald McDonald House Charities at (312) 888-2500
• Notify Ronald McDonald House Charities at (312) 888-2500
• Ronald McDonald House front desk staff directs the paramedics to the 6th floor and the Almost Home Designee meets paramedics at the elevator and directs them to the patient

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

• Keep the person calm
• Do not move the person
• Provide assistance as requested by Emergency Response personnel
• Inform immediate manager
• Complete Safety Event Record
