INITIAL RESPONSE

When severe weather cause problems (i.e., tornado, high winds, damaging hail, lightning strike):

  • Remain calm
  • Alert staff and families of weather conditions
  • Listen for weather condition updates
  • In high wind situations move immediately to the main entrance atrium.

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

Notify personnel to remain on duty until released by your Patient Care Ops Manager

    • When weather conditions improve
      • Return to normal operations
