INITIAL RESPONSE

When an injury or illness is caused by work and occurs while performing work:

• Perform First-aid to stop bleeding, cleanse an area or cover a wound
• Report to manager and seek care
• Emergency conditions: Press the EMERG soft key or call 911
• Emergency conditions: Emergency conditions: Press the EMERG soft key or call 911
• Non-emergency conditions: go to Occupational Medicine affiliate assigned to the work location (refer to Work Related Injury or Illness Policy for location)

SECONDARY RESPONSE

• Follow the “Work Related Injury or Illness Policy” found on the Portal
• Complete Employee Incident and Supervisor Incident Reports
• Complete Safety Event Report
