INITIAL RESPONSE

When you hear an overhead announcement stating “Attention: Hard Lockdown in place, for your safety, please shelter in place.” (This will be repeated 3 times) Staff Will:

  • Immediately stop non-essential activities but may continue care as long as safety is not compromised
  • Secure Doors, limit movement
  • Shelter in place with patients; move them to a secure location if possible
  • Wait for “All Clear” before resuming any operations

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

  • If police or other emergency personnel are on site listen to their direction
  • Security is actively monitoring the situation and will provide additional guidance or an “all clear” when details are available.
  • Stay informed via internal communications (Overhead, Everbridge, Email alerts)
