INITIAL RESPONSE
When you hear an overhead announcement stating “Attention: Hard Lockdown in place, for your safety, please shelter in place.” (This will be repeated 3 times) Staff Will:
- Immediately stop non-essential activities but may continue care as long as safety is not compromised
- Secure Doors, limit movement
- Shelter in place with patients; move them to a secure location if possible
- Wait for “All Clear” before resuming any operations
SECONDARY RESPONSE
& FOLLOW UP
If police or other emergency personnel are on site listen to their direction
Security is actively monitoring the situation and will provide additional guidance or an “all clear” when details are available.
Stay informed via internal communications (Overhead, Everbridge, Email alerts)
